I see it all the time, people just creating designs that look nice and shoving them up not giving any consideration to how users will interact with that oh so special design they made for the their clients. From experience I’ve noticed how people don’t really care about design that much but more how easy it is to use the site and do the tasks they went on the website to accomplish. Look at Facebook for instance, no one goes on there and compliments how well designed it is but you rarely hear a complaint about how people can’t find where someones photos are or how they can’t see updates from their friends.
Social media dashboard is an in-house web application which helps us manage all of our social media accounts. It’s aim is to help reach to clients in an efficient manner. The project started out as a small University project to try and push the boundaries of informatics in social media on Twitter, but it soon became a huge codebase to support multiple social media providers.
The Line Between was a project for helping mentally ill employees do their jobs to the best of their abilities. It was designed to be an informational project that works close with employers to help mentally ill employees to get the most out of them and make sure they can be happy and stable, without fear of loosing their jobs.
